How long could a trainee be at Natureworks for?
There is no time limit, although each person will have a 6 monthly review. Frequent in-house
reviews are also carried out to check relevance of the training programme and continuing
benefit
Attendance can be from 1 – 3 days per week
Although we take referrals year round, and offer a 50 week service, people benefit most by
working in the growing season (April – November)
What happens after training?
Natureworks can provide the next step for trainees who are ready
This involves working on jobs off site – to test out the skills learnt at Natureworks in a different environment, to expose trainees to a more ‘real-work’ situation, with increased pressure on speed of work, quality of finish, social interaction and stamina.
We are able to support and guide trainees from the time they start with us, right through to
employment, if that is a relevant option for them.
We are also able to offer links to services under several other relevant government programmes.
