Running A Land Based Social Enterprise – 2019 dates coming soon

9:30am to 4pm

We get so many enquiries for visits and advice and feel terrible that we have to turn people away due to pressures on our time, so we have created a unique course that distils our 23 years of knowledge and experience into a day that we hope will prove both informative and inspirational for fellow social entrepreneurs!

This course is aimed at people who want to set up their own Social enterprise based around land based skills and products.  It will cover the philosophy and legal structure of social enterprises, their unique place in the market, the balance between social and commercial aims, funding sources, marketing, social impact measurement and much much more…!

We cap group sizes at 10, which is small enough to allow people to ask questions about their own scenarios, but also enables people to benefit from networking and the cross-pollination of ideas.

We provide the all important tea and cake, but ask you to bring a packed lunch to enjoy in our grounds.

Running A Land Based Social Enterprise – 2019 dates coming soon!

Organic Blooms is a Social Enterprise that has emerged from 12 years of health and social care service delivery.  We grow beautiful seasonal British cut flowers and herbs – sustainably and without the use of artificial chemicals. We hope that our journey from a ‘therapeutic horticulture’ project to a commercially viable business employing people with disabilities and support needs will both inform and inspire people to create their own Social Enterprise – creating opportunities and making real change in their communities.

Growing cut flowers is therapeutic, at Organic Blooms we use all the wonders of working with nature to benefit local people with disabilities and support needs. We have adapted our working nursery and employ specialist staff to support people to gain valuable skills and the confidence to get into work.

If you love flowers, care about where they come from and how they are grown, then an Organic Blooms workshop could be just what you’ve been looking for!

Visit our courses and workshops page for the range of what we offer through the year.
